ReDecor Help Free to One Reader

I love to paint walls, redo finds and decorate.
I am not perfect but I do pretty good
I am up for the challenge if you are.

I love thrifted things, beautiful things and vintage.
What do you love?

I am willing to come to your home for one day-eight hours and help you with one room.
We will use your things, thrifted things, whatever we have or can find for free.
Painting is an issue because of the drying time for walls but furniture would be ok.
I have no sponsors but we can figure out lots for not very much.

I can provide know how and skill if you can provide the dough, opps I mean money needed, if any.

Lots of times just rearranging and changing things a bit makes a huge difference.

I'm up for it if you are.  This is limited to the Phoenix, Chandler, Tempe, Mesa, Peoria, Glendale, Scottsdale, Cave Creek, Avondale, Goodyear Queen Creek, basically the Valley area.  I will go farther but need compensation for fuel.

Leave a comment and let me know why you need me to come to your home and help you make one room a standout in your home.

I will bring brownies . . . .

Hugs, Nancy

I made this mantel into a headboard for my room.
Made the bedspread, ruffled shams, plaid pillow.

Simple arrangements are fun and draw the eye to things you want to focus on.

Simple table accessories make a big statement!

Adding something simple like a book wreath to a door adds another layer to your decor.

Here is a sampling of my Antique Booth at Merchant Square Antique Marketplace in Chandler, AZ.

Some of these things are for sale and some are already sold.  It is just so you know I am a for real.

Ready, set, leave your comments now~!!  Drawing on September 17.  Please leave contact info so you can be notified.

In Praise of Frogtape

I have had this roll of tape for a while.  I intended to use it but then I put it in a drawer and forgot about it for a few weeks.

I needed to work on a headboard for a wedding banner of sorts and thought of the Frog tape.  I dug it out of the clutter in the drawer and began to apply to the headboard.

I first applied small pieces around the center oval and then straight pieces across the top edge of the bottom.

I had previously painted the headboard a shabby white with satin finish Behr Paint from Home Depot.

I got out my trusty can of Rust o Lum Chalkboard Paint and using a Purdy brush, I painted two coats as suggested in the directions on the paint can. One going across the piece and one going up and down. Allow a day to dry inbetween coats.

I worked right up to the tape with my Purdy brush and the Frog Tape did the job.

I am ready to rub the Chalkboard surfaces with the side of a piece of chalk, wipe it off with a dry cloth and write the names of the bride and groom, date.

Just so you are aware, no paint came off with the tape, YEAH!!
All remarks have been voluntary.  I have not been compensated in anyway for my review.

This tape is great!  I am going to use it everytime now!
